I would say it depends on what kind of doctor you want to be. It’s certainly harder to become a realtor than a gynecologist.

The title doctor was originally given to those that held the PhD, the term "doctor" is latin and means "to teach". In the case of religion the Doctorate in Divinity was one of the earliest doctorates that could be earned.
