OT Question of the Day: Would you eat it?

I bought a big pack of boneless chicken thighs, and decided I wanted to make some chicken poppers with half of them. I did my prep work last night: cut up some fresh jalepenos, seasoned the chicken, put cream cheese and peppers and wrapped the thighs in bacon with toothpicks. I put the poppers in a pyrex dish and covered it with tinfoil, but when I went to put them in the fridge I noticed the shelf was nasty. I set my dish down on the kitchen table and cleaned the fridge shelf. My wife asked me this morning if I meant to leave this chicken out on the table all night.
I told her to throw it in the fridge, and I'll deal with it after work. Now I covered the chicken up around 9p last night, my wife found them around 7a this morning. So that's 10hrs covered at room temperature. What says the OT? Do I have a little science experiment with tonight's dinner, or do you throw it all away? I was going to give it the visual and smell test. Would you eat it?
I might be calling in sick tomorrow

The risk/reward on these questions is always so out of whack. "I don't want to waste a few dollars of food, should I risk vomiting and shitting my brains out for 24 hours?"

If I were you, I would likely not eat it. But I would likely still give it a go.
But that's because I am assuming I'm more manly than you.
* In all seriousness, I'd just toss them. You can replace that for 10-15 bucks.

Toss them, no way I’d knowingly eat uncooked chicken (or bacon) that was warm to room temp that long.

Cook it good and hot, you'll be fine.

Nope….thats loaded with bacteria. If you cook it well enough to kill all of the bacteria, it won’t be worth shite anyway.

Chicken sick is a type of sick that you should never take a chance on.

Shred the chicken and then pan fry it.
Turn it into a buffalo chicken dip.
Shredding the chicken helps increase the surface area to kill all of the bacteria.
Buffalo dip hides the fact that you cooked shredded chicken well done/crispy.
Then go run a couple of miles before you become a fatty. Buffalo chicken dip is about 3000 calories a serving.

I still got the other half of the thighs, and another pack of bacon in the fridge already. I could always cook these for the dog. She'll love me for it. She eats her own shite, so this can't be any worse.

Do her (and you) a favor and remove the jalapenos first

Here’s another scenario. Last night I took out a bag of frozen edamame and I noticed the bag had a 1/2 inch slit in it probably (hopefully) from the box cutter.
Do you throw it away?
They were unshelled edamame.
I usually never eat any kind of broken seal or cut in bag etc..
However I took my chances on this one. I’m still alive!!

Do they smell fine? Are they slimey? You can use your senses to determine if meat is bad or not.

Generally I give all fish and chicken the smell test. But leaving chicken out overnight....That's a No for me dawg.

I don't know yet, but that's what I was going to do first. I don't have a problem leaving frozen food out in the sink overnight to thaw. I've also eaten a deer that I didn't find until the next day. I've eaten things that have been on the ground for more than 5 seconds. Sometimes you gotta roll the dice, live a little, and quit being such a pussy germaphobe.

I would cook it in the oven in one of those bags.
Seal it tight, add some lime juice. The bag holds in a little pressure and prevents drying out.
Cook a little longer than normal.
