re: OT pool experts, what is the best value in robotic pool cleaners?

I have the Dolphin Nautilus, too. The difference between this and the Polaris cleaners that spray you is the robotic cleaners have a finer filtration system, thus removing finer particles. Also, notice the black housing on the unit? When the Dolphin gets in a tight corner it will leave black marks. So, not only for this reason, but you should have a pool eraser for removing marks in your pool. You will still need to manually clean your spa if you have one.

Kreepy Krauler owner for about 7 years. Plugs into skimmer. Have not vacuumed a pool since the first day i bought it. No special pumps or attachments.....just plug it into the skimmer. Very little moving parts so not much to go wrong. I've replaced a couple of parts because they were worn out.

Nothing beats a Dolphin in terms of efficiency and ease of use. We had a Dolphin Nautilus Plus and now we have upgraded to a Dolphin S200 (newer model). Hands down, it'll be the best investment you ever made for your pool. Be sure to get a TOP loading Dolphin, I prefer one with the basket cartridge (like the S200). So easy to rinse and drop back in the pool. We usually keep the fine filters on and it literally picks up dirt off the bottom. Best thing about it is that it can clean your pool at ANY time, regardless of if your pump is running or not. Dolphin also has the best warranty out there (3 years).

Our Polaris 2 wheel (I think it’s the 250) that came with the pool when we bought is about on its last leg as I’m having to fix or swap out something every few months.

Looking at the Dolphin S200. Seems much more efficient (lower electric bill) to power it directly instead of running a second pump like we do for the Polaris.

How is the S200 different than the Nautilus CC (reg not plus)?
