Started experiencing bad dizziness yesterday morning. Ignored it. Hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday evening and last night, the room was spinning to the point that I could not stand up without losing my balance. I was sweating and felt nauseated.
Aleve and an ice pack seemed to help. Drank plenty of water.
This morning, I am better, but not all the way there.
110/70 BP as of a few minutes ago. Is this considered "low?" Trying to determine what might be the cause. At first, I thought it might have been my glasses, but now I am not so sure.

110/70 BP
That wouldn't cause severe dizziness unless your BP was very, very high and dropped to that level very quick.

I have to assume these posts are fake, for my own sanity, because I can't fathom how someone can be stupid enough to treat serious symptoms here rather than go to a doctor.

Sudden onset of vertigo could be a number of things. Typically viral, but could also be an inner ear infection. If it persists, a visit to the ENT would be in order.

Admittedly, this is the first time I have checked my BP in quite some time (on my own - I have a cuff (near shoulder BP machine). I didn't think to check it until this morning.

Of course jackass, I would (and will) go to the doctor if I believe my situation warrants it. There are a lot of good posters on here, some of whom are in the medical field that can help with information PRIOR to going to the doctor.

I'm looking more into this. I have a very good ENT and if my symptoms persist into tomorrow, I will go see her.

I had something similar about a month ago, it was vertigo caused by trapped fluid in my ear. Had to get a steroid shot and take oral steroids.

Tell me your doctor hates you without telling me your doctor hates you.

120/80 is normal BP. It could possibly be vertigo.

and why would you, a person with presumably no other major obvious health problems and middle-aged or younger, have a BP machine in your house?
Something's up here. Asking the OT is not very smart but still arguably better than a trip to Urgent Care which is usually something like "oh your leg is severed? Here, have some Motrin and a Zpack."

its normal range, but could be lower than your personal 'set point' if you are normally a good bit higher. but if you felt better after drinking a lot of water it was probably lower before. is it better or worse when getting up quickly like resting on couch to walking around the house? does it change when turning your head?

I also have a thermometer, pulse oximeter, ace bandages, and bandaids.
Having anyone of these items is good to have to avoid having to go to the doctor unnecessarily.

One of our clients had something like this in January. Couldn't stand up straight or walk without assistance. Dr couldn't figure out the cause but after about a week it went away.

I'm "typically" around 120/84-86. Last night, I stayed in my chair and when I looked down, the room would begin to spin. Right now, I feel much better, but I still have a fog over me.

Sounds like vertigo
This was also one that I was going to mention. I've seen first hand how vertigo can really mess a person up. My grandmother had it and her daughter has it. Oddly, none of the men of that family have ever had it, including my aunt's twin brother.

There are st least half a dozen MDs that poet here, seems like a very good place to inquire if symptoms seem serious and warrant a ER visit, or can wait for a regular appointment.
