The registration and title should read the same. If insured is listed on title then he should be shown on the registration. OP is an idiot for a number of reasons

This is one of the dumbest arrangements I've ever heard of. Especially now that you are telling him to frick off. Because you can't tell him to frick off without fricking yourself.

Your best bet is that after a year of the loan payments being made on time possibly his credit is good enough to qualify for a loan on his own. Convince him he should trade and then crawfish on being a co-applicant.
