The first thing to do when one potentially has a case for a lawsuit is to post details about it on a public message board.

Well thanks OT, that's about what I expected ??
I 100% own up to the incidents. Ultimately that falls on me. Can't/won't argue the firing at the end of the day
What's crazy to me is the blacklisting based off of a bogus claim. That's what I think is most wrong about this situation. You'd think if you were being accused of something that serious they'd want your side of the story. Evidently not.
Some of you have asked if I've taken a look in the mirror. Absolutely. Could I have been a better co-worker, clinician,, of course. What irks me is the ill will of this story.

It isn't even their answers it is that they were dumb enough to say that to him.
Ask a room full of subordinates what they would do with “frick you” money and get pissy when their answer is “frick you.”

Ultimately I'm thankful I found another job.
I'm kinda with the board on this one. Not much I can do in this situation

Use this as a learning experience. Management doesn’t want your unfiltered opinion on anything.

It is breaking news to your VP that people would quit working if they won the lottery?

I will share with you a very sad truth about being in healthcare, particularly in an employed, corporate role (which I am not):
Kill as many people as you’d like. But please take care not to offend anyone.

Take your lesson and move on.

Dude sounds like an insecure pussy. Should’ve said “win a lottery” not “the lottery”.

I’ve never heard of a situation where someone was fired for cause from one office and eligible for hire at another office of the same entity.
Also I’ve seen people fired from medical facilities for a lot less than you and be ineligible for rehire.
You talked smack about them, but want to work for them?
Also, what exactly legal case do you think you have? Unless you are a protected person and claim some kind of -ism..,

That’s a dick move.
No matter good a company is, most people would not work if they did not have to.
I’d be calling a recruiter the next day if I had a boss that did that.

You were on a contract basis and they probably were paying you more than their employees. They don’t care about your side.

You missed my entire point just like the people missed the entire point of the question because they lack situational awareness.
Quitting work is the obvious answer and 99.9% of people that won enough money to never work again would quit. Someone thinking at least one move ahead would answer with one of the plethora of other answers available, like setting aside money for their children's education, paying off their house, giving Sally Struthers enough money to feed all the starving children, or Sarah McLachlan enough to save all the puppies and kitties. Saying you would tell the company to frick off just shows you can't think multi-dimensionally and blurt out the first thought that pops into your head. At least in my profession and I assume most professions thinking before you speak is important. The exercise also exposes the people who will make decisions based on assumed facts that are not known. They made the assumption that winning the lottery equals frick you money, facts not in evidence.
Lack of awareness and jumping to conclusions are not generally considered enviable traits. While the question mentioned is hamfisted most good leaders of people will be constantly testing their subordinates for various reasons. Sometimes it is to identify positions they are most qualified for as they move up the ladder sometimes it is to identify who's ladders have run out of rungs.

Louisiana is an at will state. You can be fired for any reason. The company does not have to give a reason for your termination. Unless the company fired/blacklisted you because you wouldn't sleep with them or because of your sex, religion, race you have no case. My advice is move on. PS Sometimes it's better to bite your lip than make waves against corporate.
