I’m a victim in a theft matter. I know a judge is not chosen by either party but who would be considered the best one to hope for from a victims point of view

Judge Trudy may have you sentenced and paying reparations by the time it’s all over.

You can get a good idea just by visiting the 19th JDC website and looking at their photos.

Good news. You're also gonna find out what it's like to be a victim in a courtroom matter.

You’ll find that crime really does pay.

Especially if you get elected.

If you’re simply looking for restitution, you’ll likely get it, regardless. If you’re some lunatic looking for jail time, good luck.

I do want restitution but they drugged it all away. They can’t pay so yeah I am hoping for jail time.

What were they arrested for? What were they charged with? How old is the case? What does their rap look like?

Is the case still active or have they already plead/been convicted and placed on probation?

Also, stop being coy about who the judge is.

That’s a serious amount of restitution. If they can’t show a good faith effort in starting down the path to getting that paid, they are likely going to have trouble.

You seem to have experience on this. Do you have any realistic idea what they may be facing. I know the law says 5-20 years unless there is a plea bargain

They’ll likely get probation unless they have prior convictions. If they do get jail time, i think they’d only serve about 33% of the sentence. Someone will correct me if I’m wrong on the good time/parole.
