So, you're trying to kill off the irresponsible son with a motorcycle? If he wants to really get his shite together get him an old Honda that he won't plow into the back of a tractor trailer doing 120 on a two lane.

It will just be a Honda CBR300. He's been on a streetbike since high school (he moved out when he was 18), though he hasn't had one in a couple years. But eventually he'll get another, and this will keep him on something relatively slow for a few more years. He's also a better rider than 90% of the fools on the road , with 2 years of track experience.

Oh man, you took the trailer trash bait AND you live in Slidell?!? Some guys have all the luck. If only you had a son old enough to be on his own that still needs you to support his trashiness......

It's so hard not to be when the OT is so naive and gullible.
I'm the poor man's Dan Bilzerian.

So get him a reliable used car, not a luxury item.

As an owner of the vehicle, you could be responsible. But it would be a stretch. If he doesn't have a bad driving history, you are fine. And I mean dUIs, suspended license, revoked, or multiple wrecks, and tickets

Every 23 year old trying to get his shite together needs a bike. This won't end well for you.

Baller, not really

Terrible parent, definitely.

One day you're going to be old and thinking about everything you did in life. The back massagers in your seats aren't going to be what sticks out, it will be that you did a shitty job raising a handful of kids and now they are a drain on society.

On second thought buy them all motorcycles, do us all a favor.

The answer is no. Mere ownership does not equal negligence in causing an accident. The only cause of action could be negligent entrustment, which is almost impossible to prove.

And you think a bike is a good form of transportation to get him to and from work?

What happens when it's raining sideways out and he says frick it in not riding in that shite stays home and gets fired for being a no show.

Lease him a Kia. 1900 down and 99/month. If he can't afford that then he deserves to be jobless and homeless.

What education, and what kind of job has the 23 year old attained?

What has he done that he needs to climb back up and re-establish from?

If he is just cosigning to secure the obligation of his trashy son and the creditor knows this he won't be treated as an owner. He would be treated as a surety due to ostensible suretyship.
