Depends on him and his family. He could be the nicest black guy there ever was, but if his family is ghetto/thug I would worry about her associating with that aspect. Otherwise no problem.
I would be against a Muslim though, just based on their religion and history, even if he is a so called progressive Muslim, I would still worry.

Wow. So it isn't possible that some people legitimately disagree with you here and wouldn't have a problem with it? Not even possible that people think differently than you?
You should probably just answer for yourself and not project your feelings (whether they are rooted in fear, protection, culture, religion, racism, or whatever) on your entire race don't you think?
I hope it doesn't come as too big a shock that not everyone thinks the same way. Even we "white fathers" have a diversity of views.
