Everything.

This shite has turned into an all weekend affair at our house.

Father’s “Day” is really Father’s “30 minutes or so” and is over by 11.

I do what she tells me.

Really not much different than any other day actually. I do breakfast on the weekdays for the kids and on the weekends for the family already.

Breakfast then whatever she wants, which is usually hang outside and grill or do something on the griddle.

My wife typically has to work so all she wants to do when she comes home is going straight to sleep, wake up and eat, and not having to lift a finger. Like a day of a typical man. So, I'll just cook her favorite meal, have it ready for when she gets home, and make sure the kids keep the house clean.

The SO takes the step-kid to get something for her Mom and me. Her Mom’s current husband always has an excuse to not take her to do the shopping which is some utter bullshite (they’ve been married for 3 years now).

I take the step-kid to shop for the SO for Father’s Day because her Mom always seems to “forget”.

People can be really fricking petty.

We’re actually celebrating Mother’s Day today instead of tomorrow.
I’m cooking jambalaya And drinking beer. I’m pretty happy with my job.

My husband is cooking me dinner tonight. He sees to a gift and card on behalf of the 13 year old. The 23 year old has done stuff on his own for years.

For many years I spent the whole weekend cooking and entertaining our moms. Now we visit one today and one tomorrow. He sees to a gift for his, me for mine.

I won’t wash a dish or do any other chores tomorrow.

On Mother's Day, I usually play 36 holes so she can spend more time with the kids. I'm very unselfish that way.

Outsider, which is awesome. She takes the child to her parents and spends the day so I have the house to myself to actually clean shite up, do laundry, work in the yard, etc.

When did Mother’s Day become an extra Christmas?

Fathers Day is easy for women by comparison.

Interesting you brought that up. True story...

My ex MIL would actually make a list of what she wanted for Mother's Day. And if she didn't get EVERYTHING on that list, she was pissed and pouted about it for the rest of the day. Never saw anything like that.

I gave her two daughters. My work is done. If her children want to give their mother something, that’s on them. I don’t expect anything from her on Fathers Day either.

My wife asked me something about Mother’s Day and I told her she wasn’t my mother so I didn’t know.
