OT doctors - extreme neck pain

My neck on the lower back right side has been sore for a few days and then this morning I tilted my head back to stretch it and something popped. Now I can barely move my head. Even eating is very painful now.
What did I do? I’m thinking of making a trip to urgent care - is that overreacting or appropriate? I can’t tell if it’s just muscular or something more serious.

Go to Houston and have Dr. Greg Johnson give you the ol' ring dinger.
Don't bring the wife, though. Ol' doc will cop a feel of the tits and arse.

Ha! I should’ve known that was coming.

Urgent care will probably just refer you in this case.

Dont mess around with neck injuries. Go see a damn doctor ASAP

Yea I think so too. I would like an actual dr, not a chiropractor. Any recommendations in the BR area?

Could be stenosis. That's what I have. You need to stretch daily.

That’s offensive.

Go to a doctor that specializes in neck AIDS

I would put icy hot, ben gay, salonpas, on it immediately; and if that does not give relief then go to the doc. Sad thing is urgent care will say out of their paygrade, so just go to ER.

Do you lift weights and did you recently do overhead press?

Go to your family dr first. He will do everything urgent care would and if he feels you should get an MRI or CT then he can order it. Or just put you on meds/shot and therapy

Urgent care is only good if you need antibiotics or stitches.
Take some ibuprofen and take it easy for a few days. You'll be fine.

Dr. Josef Mengele.
He'll sort you out.

I have a serious solution. Here is what you need.
2 tennis balls.
1 long black dress sock.
Put the balls in the sock.
Tie a knot in the sock near the 2nd tennis ball. Leaving about about two inches of stretch between the 2 balls in the sock.
Lay on your back on the floor and put the sock under your neck and position the balls on your neck muscles and even the upper shoulder blades.
Lean into the tennis balls while rolling the muscle. If it hurts too much, good... then keep doing it.
you're welcome.
