OT Docs / Dermatologists: Having trouble diagnosing via google

I had a very tiny (less than 1mm across) wart-like nodule appear on the palm skin of my finger a few weeks ago. It took about a week to fully appear, then it spent a week bleeding occasionally, and for the past week it has been healing. As of now it's a tiny (but somewhat deep) scab that will soon push out and heal completely. I think this is the 3rd time it has appeared in the same spot over the last 5 or so years, and each time it goes away within a few weeks, so I never saw the point in seeing a doc about it.
Anybody know what it could be? Some sort of virus? Could there be something under there that my body pushes out bit by bit?
I know, I know... the herp, aids, etc.

Well, you know, I kind of figured it was just a generic wart, but I was longshot hoping for some kind of root cause explanation. I know warts can disappear on their own, but usually in months to years instead of weeks, right? And I thought they just kind of slowly faded away rather than blowing up from the inside like this thing does.

How old are you? Do you work outside?
Check out keratoacanthoma and see if it looks like that... LINK
They can “erupt” (enlarge, bleed, then scab) and resolve over weeks although that would be rare if you are young and don’t have a history of sun exposure

I really appreciate the effort and serious response, but that's not it. Looks like that develops from hair follicles, but mine is on my fingerprint.

KAs usually don't form on the palms and rarely spontaneously resolve then come back over years, they are usually very fast growing cancers....Sounds like a verruca wart, molluscum lesion, or possibly a pyogenic granuloma if is is bleeding. Email me a picture and I may be able to help you.
