really excited to get the G7
What’s going to be new with the G7?
Does anyone have issues with the G6 after the two hour warmup of it showing blood sugars much lower than normal? I’ve searched and found some forums mentioning this just curious if anyone here has experienced this
ETA: because I have several times and it sucks having to try to calibrate it back. For example after the warmup I could have a low of 70. I then do my normal drink juice or whatever and the readings keep bottoming out and will just stay on “low”. Some say this could be site trauma and have recommended inserting the sensor prior to the warmup period

It's smaller, sensor and transmitter are integrated into one device, and the sensor life is extending to 2 weeks

Was wondering if this was just me, got supplies about a month ago and they sent me 2 months' worth instead of my normal 3.
When we reached out to them about this, they stated it was so they could do another order before the end of the year. That way your large order hitting your deductible wouldn’t happen in January. They said they would be reaching back out in December to place a normal 3 month order.

If you need some advice, let me know. I’ve been battling this for over 25 years and technology has come a long way

Does the pump bother you at all? I know my doctor would prefer that I use a pump but I haven't gotten to that point mentally.
Wife uses OmniPod and CGM. She said the CGM was a game-changer for her.

Its a small transmitter the size of an airpod case I keep in my pocket. It does Bluetooth and radio signal so it allows the Omnipod and Dexcom to talk to each other through an app on your phone. So you get a glucose reading from Dexom and it tells your pump what to do basically. The only thing you have to do after the initial setup is tell it how many carbs you eat. It does the rest.
FYI - this is what the next version of Omnipod will do, but who knows when it will come out. The release has been pushed back over and over. Hopefully sometime this year.

That the one with Bluetooth and a smartphone monitoring/alarm app?
Yes, always have her levels monitored on my phone and set alerts for highs and lows. As long as her phone is within blue tooth distance of her device. Her phone is the main device. Helps for piece of mind. Great for night time lows when she is sleeping

My teenage son has had diabetes for a year. He’s on a Dexcom which changed everything for us. He is Still on pens because we are waiting for the next generation Omnipod that will connect with the Dexcom.
