Happy start to the work week. Noticing the airlines posting some low fares this week for after the holidays so I'll post them below. All prices are roundtrip.

New Orleans to:

Salt Lake City: $174 on United. Sporadic dates in Jan, feb or march. Very good deal, have not seen it this cheap in my years of posting here.

Denver: $118
on Frontier, $197 on United or Southwest. Most of January on Frontier, then around $200 in February

Dallas: $81 on American or southwest, $98 on United. Tuesdays, Wednesdays in January, then some wednesdays in february

Boston: $201 on American, $218 on Jetblue. Apparently Jetblue is starting a second daily flight to BOS so they may have some even better deals soon

Atlanta: $141 on American or United. Not sure why they're so cheap going into Delta territory, but Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat in January, then Tues and Wed in February and March.

Fort Lauderdale: $165 on American or United, $184 on Delta. Tues, Wed, Sat in January, then some Tues and Wed in February.

NYC: $201 on Delta, United, Jetblue. Most of january to first week of february.

Austin: $164
on Delta, United, American. Most of january and february

San Antonio: $164 on Delta, United, American. Most of January and february

Cancun: $315
on delta nonstop. Almost all of january, february, march

San Juan, Puerto Rico: $278 on American or United, delta a little more expensive. All of January, february, march, and april

Not sure if you're serious... In any case it's $576 to Tijuana, but only $238 to San Diego. Might as well just fly there and drive over for that price

Any good deals on Las Vegas (MSY-LAS) flights toward the middle/end of May? When might those go on sale?

For MSY-LAS, the cheapest option by far will be spirit. They've been having airfare around $127 roundtrip as they just started the MSY-LAS nonstop flight. Even if you pay for a bigger seat and a checked bag each way on spirit, you'd still probably only be around $200 roundtrip. Southwest is at $366 roundtrip, United $325.

Sample dates: Sat May 21- Wed May 25, $127 roundtrip on spirit

Finding MSY-Sydney or Brisbane for $1418 up through early april. Just a warning, the later you go the colder it's going to be in sydney since it'll be fall. I studied abroad in brisbane and went to sydney for a weekend in a september and it was very chilly. You have to see the blue mountains, was awesome. American is just starting their LAX-SYD flights and Air New Zealand IAH-Auckland so I'll keep an eye out to see if they have any deals.

$250 from MSY-MCO on delta or united towards the middle/end of february. About $300 nonstop on southwest.

Oh wait, just remembered allegiant flies MSY-SFB. Taking a look and they've got roundtrip fares for $94 or $100. Could even do that over mardi gras...

What time did you book it yesterday? If it's on Delta, United or Southwest you could cancel as long as it's within 24 hours. What dates are you looking for for BOS-MSY?

Are these fares only to be used within the next week? I'm going to be booking a trip to Vegas soon for the end of February and prices aren't what I remember them being

How are you finding these good deals?

We want to fly out of Baton Rouge or NOLA in march to Denver.

I went a few years back on a business trip but didn't have time to do much. We did get a chance to see the Blue Mountains though. They were OK but not "awesome" if you ask me. I've definitely seen better mountains. Also, I refuse to fly American. The company blows

The fares tend to go up and down depending on the day. Example: Saturdays and sundays are usually the most expensive days to book, hence why i usually wait until monday/tuesday/wednesdays to post this thread. I usually use google flights and just browse for cheap prices.

The end of february MSY-LAS is a bit pricey, but as I mentioned upthread, your best bet is going to be on spirit. If you pay the extra $ for a "Big seat" there's no way it can be that bad for a 2 1/2 hour flight. I'm finding it for $147 Feb 24 or 25- March 1 or 2 plus a bunch of other dates around there

MSY-Denver on United or Southwest $220 roundtrip in march. Plenty of dates available, you may want to wait a little bit to book as I don't think the cheaper prices go out that far yet. Looks like they're only out until february for now

Have you been to Uluru/ Ayers Rock? I did a 3 day hiking/camping trip out there and it was by far the best experience I had. Even got to see waterfalls off Uluru because of some nasty t-storms

Utah got 8 inches of snow last night. That would be my choice.
