The wife ( no pics ) is suffering pretty badly from lower back pain for about a week now. She can hardly walk much less do anything. I know it's a tough condition to treat but have any of you had any successful remedies? Prolly just rest and stretching from what Google has told me. Thanks and geaux tigers!!

if she doesn't have a history and isn't fat, she needs to rest and get prescribed some muscle relaxers

the muscles are tensing up b/c they feel they have to protect either your spine or internal organs. you have to get them to "give up"

Spine surgeon (also a close friend) told me years ago that about 80% of back pain will resolve on its own within six months if you just don't make it worse. FWIW.

(This is the same guy who sent Mark Cuban a cheap bottle of wine with his compliments, so take it for what it is worth.)

Go to a doctor.

If nothing serious, pilates and yoga.

I can be her instructor if you live close by.

foam rolling

My body turns to mush just by reading those two words. Most amazing feeling.

What works for me is 600 mg of ibuprofen 2X daily and sitting in a very hot(just below scalding) tub of water and the muscles will relax.

Thanks for the tips. She was actually doing asylum workouts when it flared up so maybe something a little less intense when she recovers. Trying to instill foam rolling as part of a routine for her.

I had back pain for a few days after moving some furniture. Yesterday was the worst, so I had a few tablespoons of Black Strap Molasses and a few glasses of water with a shot of Apple Cider Vinegar. I woke up this morning with very little pain.

Don't believe her, she's just using back pain as an excuse to with hold sex.

Back pain the new headache.

It's either this or ankylosing spondylitis.

Time.
I was in a wreck in January and herniated discs in my neck and back.

Still not 100% (probably will never be) but I've learned to cope without the pills.

It sucks

If it's lower back pain and it's spasm she may need traction. I suffer from the same and my spine gets compressed easily and I need traction to fix it. You can go to a PT. That's the best bet.

Shouldn't you let the muscles do their job?

1. Have her get an Rx for 60 Norco with 2 refills.
2. Send them to me.
3. Tell her to stop fricking whining and get her arse back to work or making dinner or whatever.
