Until you have had them, you will never know, Fareplay. And since you do not want them, please never have one. You are doing everyone a favor, especially the kid. Having children and caring for them is not for selfish people. Not a bad thing. Just a fact for everyone.

There are plenty of reasons but the most important is the continuation of the human race and he desire to pass on our genes. Secondary would be the joys of raising children and imparting the wisdom you have gained through adulthood. Also, you are literally creating new humans that can very well be the most cherished relationships in your life. Those are all pretty good reasons.
If you can sacrifice those reasons, then it is pretty easy to not have kids and live a pretty self-centered or partner-centric life. There is no doubt that not having kids is easier than having kids.
