If the idea is to survive by getting rescued:

Flare gun
Mirror
Matches

And to help my chances of lasting, water purifier.

Most of this shite doesn't matter, because you can make your own.

Depends on what's in that first aid kit as a choice.

1. Water purifier. No access to fresh water and I'm toast. Hope to find a fresh water source, but can't count on it. Hydration is more important than food. (Assuming purifier doesn't require additional choice)
2. Knife is my choice here, let's me actually help with other choices available.
3. First Aid Kit (I'm going to get injured surviving)
4. This is kinda difficult. I want to be saved assuming I crashed here alone. Or is it like Lost? This choice completely depends on scenario on how I got here.

Similar question for the fishing rod. Would be useless if you only had one hook or lure and a fish popped your line. If there’s a large supply of ammo and tackle, the rifle and fishing rod are no brainers. Add knife and pot for me

What are you going to kill with rifle if no animals? What are you going to catch if no fish?

I glanced through thread, but is there a specific objective? Saved? Survival?

With a knife you can do much more to survive and make your own fishing rod.

I'll start by eliminating stuff I don't need.

Toilet paper, iPod, flashlight, insect repellant, weed and volleyball are out

If I were trying to leave the island in hopes of being rescued at sea or encountering civilization, I'd go with the following:

Raft, sunscreen, vitamins, and water purifier. The sunscreen will provide protection from the brutal sun, the vitamins will provide essential nutrients and of course having fresh water while at sea is vital

If Im staying on the island and waiting for a rescue:

Matches, knife, saw and the tent. Fire is important. The knife goes without saying and has many uses. The saw can be used to provide materials for better shelter, for building traps, spears, fishing poles among other things. The tent can also be used in a variety of ways whether it be shelter, netting, or water collection. Use could also be found for the aluminum poles

I'll agree with Morbid but exchange the gun for a tent.

1. Pot - makes cooking much easier. Also use to haul fresh water
2. Rifle - duh. Food and defense
3. Matches - not a necessity, but make life much easier
4. Knife
