I hope they got the kinks worked out. Even the Marines got rid of my beloved CH46.

Something is wrong with this picture. You would think that there would an opportunity to get their piece of that multi billion dollar defense budget. There is no reason to eat that kind of cost considering the defense budget.

Are Ospreys combat effective? Moreso than say the CH-46 or other vertical lift transport?

Seems like a waste of money to me.

They are always in/out of MLU. *They are probably just finding out that airport bar no longer exists though...

I know a couple of 5th SFG CIF guys that HATE those things. They were ordered to use them in Iraq because the commander wanted to show the birds were combat ready. Yes, they got them to the target area faster BUT they are so loud that they would have to offset multiple kilometers from the target and walk in to avoid being compromised. One buddy told me he wants to charge the manufacturer for all the nights he spent walking through the desert because of that thing.
