My guess is all those other cities have lots of suburb areas with cheaper housing than the Nola area.
For those of you who haven’t researched the real estate pricing in Nola in the last five years, it’s stupid expensive. Not counting the east of course

We had wall builders last week saying you could buy a home for $80k in the bywater though

I think they're not even moving that far, just probably over into Jefferson Parish. Have you driven through Kenner lately?

I’m no math whiz, but if there are fewer students overall and a lower % of them are African Americans, then I’d have to say the chocolate city is getting less chocolatey.
