Agreed, and you'd hope that they would balance each other out to come to some middle ground but no, it has to be all or nothing.

I know 2 couples, that used to visit often (one of them, 4-5 times a year).
Now, just one of the guys comes back about once a year. Crime I know is the reason for the couple that came the most often, to stop coming.

It use to be they were afraid of getting killed for talking to the police. Now they just simply hate the police, so they are basically not talking at all. Occasionally you'll get one or two people to come forward but it's very isolated.

As for the future, I'm still trying to figure out how much longer Nola can continue to support developments like this. South Market District
I'm sure the units are all sold too.
And another big condo development is about to start near there.
And how many new hotels have opened in the last few years?
Then they will be adding a shitload of additional room capacity when the World Trade Center area gets re-developed
