Ordered an American flag online, USPS put it on the ground (in plastic wrap). Is this ok?

Before I file a formal complaint, I wanted to know if it’s acceptable for an American flag (folded and in plastic wrap) to be touching the ground. Technically it’s the plastic touching the ground, not the flag. Still, we respect Old Glory in Donald Trump’s America and I feel like either way the flag shouldn’t be touching the ground. What sat tOT? I’ll hang up and listen.

What do you think they do when they package and ship it? Do you think someone holds it above the ground at all times? Of course not.

Yes, if you drop a ball, it never 100% touches the ground.

The flag itself isn’t supposed to touch the ground. Otherwise where do you draw the line? Box of flags can’t sit on the ground? Trailer full of flags can’t touch the ground?

Sea can of flags coming from China just off the ship can’t sit on the ground? (SWIDT?)

The no touching the ground thing is part respect and part keeping the flag clean and I damaged. In plastic wrap and shipping package seems fine.

Where did you expect them to leave the package?

Karen,

There was a layer of plastic between your flag and the ground. As a result, your flag did not touch the ground.

You should have purchased the flag from a local vendor that had it displayed in manner that was acceptable to you. This may cost more but it sounds like an additional expense that would be worthwhile to your situation

Absolutely file a complaint. Those mail trucks ought to have Stars and Stripes on them with gold eagle emblem hubcaps anyway.

Why don't you contact your daddy and see if he'll shut down USPS over this?

This is rich, considering Trump called veterans “suckers” for risking their lives for hardly any pay. I come from a long line of proud veterans from all branches of service. I have as much respect for that oligarch as he does for Old Glory.
