Cant go wrong with SCS. old metry's finest. 100% acceptance rate at kids' 1st choice high school--mostly JHS for boys and MCA for girls (though BMHS and DHS are well represented).

if you have a boy, i recommend SCS for elementary school and Christian Bros for middle school.

Forget about Holy Cross. Nicd campus but not sure what happened there. admins let it go to shite.

None of my kids attended Trinity but have a number of friends with kids there. They managed to stay out of social justice, wokeism issues that have plagued some of the other elite schools like Newman, Country Day and McGhee. There board was adamant that they did not want that exposure for their kids. That’s yielded a strong increase in their enrollment for 2022-2023.

They also dis a good job with managing Covid with minimal disruptions.

If I had it to do again, I would look hard at Trinity.

Trinity and Stuart Hall out of those choices. Your decision will depend on if you want an all boys school or not.

That's interesting.

I’ve heard very few complaints from my friends with kids in trinity. Across the board people seem happy with the education. McGhee, Newman, Country Day all have their detractors among parents but trinity seems to deliver on education.

If you can’t afford Newman you can’t afford Trinity. I believe if it’s the same if not slightly more. It seems a good option for you would be St. Paul’s in lakeview. Very good episcopal school that is actually a step down in tuition and snobbery from Newman/Trinity.

Trinity is something I can afford.
I did not actually check Newman's tuition...
Regardless, I just do not want him going to Newman. I had many Newman friends, and its a great school. I don't want him there though.

This is a damn good school. Probably the best Catholic grammar school in the state.

If you can’t afford Newman you can’t afford Trinity. $20K for pre-k and feeder school to Newman though some boys go to Jesuit.

Stuart Hall has had a massive admin turnover but has become extremely hard to get into because all the spots are going to legacy, siblings and faculty kids at the young ages.

country day. St martins has never impressed me, and I cannot afford Newman.

If you can't afford Newman, then you can't afford STM or CD. They're all in the same $24~ $27K range. My good friend sent his 3 kids to KF and was pleased with the academics. You need to attend each open house with the Mrs. and decide what's best for your child

Holy Cross used to be a pretty good school with a solid honors program. What happened?

I assume demographic changes in their draw area also hit hard.
