The cajun Navy will help everyone. Apparently FEMA will walk on by if you have a Trump sign in your yard.

She is just bent out of shape because 1) Trump won and 2) She will never have the beauty, charm, and class of a Southern lady.

For perspective, FEMA did offer prescription assistance to the uninsured in NC following Helene as well as temporary housing. Are deep south states capable of those things by themselves?

With FEMA in place what's been the incentive to develop that capacity?? Why spend limited dollars on something that's already covered?

With FEMA gone do you think they'll do nothing and say "oh too bad"?? Or what do you think would get in the way of developing a replacement program?

She essentially states that Southerners, specifically stated Kentucky, Mississippi, and Alabama, are too dumb and poor to be able to help themselves and must have federal FEMA assistance

All of those states are objectively poor and would run massive deficits without federal money. Don’t like it? Quit voting the way you do.

States request FEMA support and states run the show with FEMA in a support role. Every state has disaster preparedness in their budget.

Oh really? Poor states can get by without federal dollars? You’re saying that with a straight face?

Soooo, which States are “poor?” Only 5 or 6 States have a 15 year trailing deficit and they are all big Democrat States. Pretty sure all the States she named have a 15 running surplus….now imagine if they charged much less federal tax and increased State tax to keep at the same levels…States would be killing it, there would be very little need for the Federal government, like the Constitution had in mind…

shite, Georgia chalked up another $5B in surplus last year and we increased projects and paybacks to tax payers….think we have over $10B in the surplus bank right now

Take away federal dollars and recalculate. Likewise for the other states…take away the money they’re sending to the feds for redistribution it poor states.

JD Vance is so well spoken, it's kind of shocking he's involved with Trump (who shite posts at 3am).

What’s she’s doing is showing that she’s ignorant about the real world. She’s lived her entire life in her little beltway bubble and is clueless about the real world outside of it. She’s too smug and comfortable in her own ignorance to realize she’s a complete idiot. I view her as having had a complete arse of herself there.

JD owned her that whole interview. It was like taking jabs from Mike Tyson then walking into an upper cut.

Exactly. In her heart of hearts she thinks she's better than us, and her nasty, condescending attitude shows it.

Didn't know she is married to a Muslim but not surprised. Just more outward evidence of her moral superiority.

What a mindless hack.
