I think people should get paid their value.
Pick an SEC team.. Each SEC team that goes to a bowl gets a payout right? (some bowls pay out a lot more than others).
That money is put together and divided out equally to all 14 teams. I don't remember the numbers for the 2016 season, but let's say it was $80M. Each team would get about $6M just from a bowl payout. Then there is the TV rights ESPN pays out, which each team gets their share of.. Then there is ticket sales, merchandise sales, concessions. LSU makes enough from one home game to pay the HC annual salary.
Which is another point. HCs are making millions a year.. So if you look at it from a value standpoint.. Do you think a scholarship covers what they are actually valued? And not every school has the same tuition cost. A player at LSU gets a scholarship that covers what? $7k a semester? USC, on the other hand.. It cost around $30k a year. Look at all who profits from college football. The universities themselves, ESPN (in theory), all the people who have jobs covering CFB, the sponsors who have their brand seen by millions of people each week, Las Vegas casinos.
With all those people making money and with everything surrounding CFB. What is the most valuable asset for it all to work? Without players you don't have a game. So based on their value, yes I think they should get more than a scholarship.

Star Wars is mainly popular because the characters are extremely memorable.
Amen to that. I actually preferred the Phantom Menace and each one that came out after it more than the 3 original. Because, as you said, the production looks cheap.

New Orleans is a great place to visit.
Baseball is incredibly boring to play and to watch.
South Baton Rouge is a great place to raise kids.
You should not be allowed to cut down a tree that is older than yourself.
Minimum wage should be abolished.

Their scholarships cover the "cost of attendance" figure. So for LSU in state that's about 30k a year. It's not like they just get tuition paid and not a dime more.
