Yukon - ballers
Tahoe - poors
In today’s GM car market:
New Escalade - millionaire ballers
New Yukon - 6 figure income ballers
New Tahoe - upper middle class poors
A used Tahoe or Yukon from 5-10 years ago - Your average poors
A used Tahoe or Yukon from 10-20 years ago - Your Mexican Poors

Don't know if it's still true, but I know in the past Denali owners had a higher average net worth than Escalade buyers.

Have never owned a Yukon but have owned five Tahoes and loved them but recently purchased a Trail Boss, although I'm keeping my 2010 Tahoe for visitors to drive. People bag on GM vehicles but that 5.3L Vortec is a workhorse and a Chevy mechanic friend said I should be able to get 250K+ miles out of that Tahoe. The Trail Boss is a 2022 so I should be able to avoid the lifter issues others have been experiencing, which affected 2019-2021 vehicles.

I believe it.

The only people I see driving these are women. It's not a slam, just a fact. It's replaced the minivan for the upper middle class/wealthy

We had purchased a 2021 Tahoe in December of 20, before covid prices got jacked up. Purchase price of 58k, paid off in 2021.
In August of 2022, we straight traded a used 2021 Tahoe LT premium package, for a suburban z71. Sticker for the suburban was 69,750. Got paid 12k to drive a Tahoe for a year thanks to inflation

A High Country is the same as a Denali, other than badging
No it isn't. Denali has a totally unique dash with built in screen instead of the tablet on the dash look like the High Country

Yeah, those saying a Tahoe and Yukon are the same better be saying the Escalade is as well.
In years past the Hoe and Yukon were very similar but over time they have separated them somewhat with the various trims.
Mechanically the same. Not the same otherwise.

GMC versions of any vehicle have better resale values than Chevy.

correct. we have a 2021 Denali, and while similar, its nicer than the high country

I just don’t see how normal people afford it. Just used one of those online calculators and the note was over 1k for 5 years at a decent interest rate and down payment. Oof. Maybe if I wasn’t paying for the kids school or didn’t mind drowning in CC bills. But even then it would be hard for me to justify that kinda scratch.
Anyways. I’ll go back to my corner and be poor.

My note on my 21 Tahoe LT with a f-150 lariat trade in is $175/month with Navy Federal Credit Union. I pay much more than that to pay it off early though.
Also, it does have captain's chairs in the second row.

Most people aren't buying them outright with no trade.
Also, leasing is getting ever more popular.

Ok…..but for my money, new Sequoia easily.
I don’t need my Wife to fit-In with the Herd in school line.
Really separating from the crowd and putting yourself out there getting a Sequoia. No one drives those
