show the Governor you believe in a responsible approach that will allow us to both address the virus and the economic livelihood of our people.
So what is this responsible approach?
Show me your plan before I decide to back it.
His entire plea is based on emotion and nothing else.
Unless he has a plan, go by the one already in place.

So whats your solution? Keep everything shut down for at least another year or longer until a vaccine is developed and can be mass produced? There won't be any jobs to come back to by that time and the government can't afford to keep paying people to stay home indefinitely especially with the significant drop in tax revenues from businesses being closed and people being out of work.
Stay at home was never intended to be a way to eradicate the virus completely. It was just a way to slow down the infection rate (aka flatten the curve) so everyone wasn't getting sick at the same time and causing hospitals to be overwhelmed beyond capacity. Hospitals in the area aren't in danger of being overwhelmed now. My sister told me yesterday that the hospital she works at has an entire floor closed down for the time being because they don't have enough patients. In other words, stay at home slowed the spread. If you need to go to the hospital for COVID or any other condition, you're not at risk for being turned away because of the hospital being full.

Each county or city should begin to reopen as they qualify based on their specific county/city numbers. Keeping areas with low or no cases closed because NOLA has high numbers is asinine. Furthermore, nursing home numbers shouldn’t be included when calculating reopen numbers as high risk places like those can stay closed to outsiders easily.

JBE is the ultimate narcissist. He loves these press conferences, they are better than sex to him. He would stand up there for five hours wagging his finger at us if he thought he could get away with it. He'll keep coming up with new justifications to keep this quarantine going so he can stay in the camera's eye.
I'm glad the citizenry is starting to lash out. I voted against him at the polls in both elections, so I did my part from the get go. Let's not let this self-absorbed loser continue to drag our great State down.
