Open container question

I was thinking about drive thru daiquiri places in Louisiana. They pull up, buy their daiquiri (if they are trashy), and they serve it to them with a piece of tape covering the hole for the straw in the lid. Apparently this tape keeps the trailer park bound concoction from being considered as an open container during the short 2 cigarette drive back home to Brayden, Braxtyn and the 2 pit bulls.
If this practice addresses the open container issue inherent with drive thru service, could flatbill truck nutz who is driving also put tape over his Michelob Ultra bottle opening and remain legal?

Why ask questions that you already know the answer to...is it just to start a thread?

Can you explain how one is legal and one isn't?

If driving through to pick up a daiquiris is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.

Who puts tape on a daiquiri

In one the manufacturer of the product sealed it.
In the other the user broke the manufacturer’s seal, consumed the product, and then resealed it with his/her own seal.

Technically a single cigarette drive if you smoke 100s.

My son Trackxton holds my bananas foster daquiri in a hermetically sealed plastic bag while we take my other son, Truckker to the batting cages.

Just put the lid back on your vodka and powerade, nerd

See this is the kind of response I like because it is intelligent. So the daiquiri store is considered the manufacturer and it is sealed with the tape? This makes it legal?

Why the hate bro? Drive through daiquiri shops are great. And I have never and will never live in a trailer park nor have a pit. I might be trashy but in a high class way.

Just use the Ricky defense. Say you live out of your car. How can it be open container in your house?
