Yea, I didn't read nine pages. Sorry.

You are way too upset, or emotional, or both.

So you aren't even aware of what the discussion has yielded so far, but you are sure that your opinion is relevant, correct and must be typed. You sound a bit opinionated and uninformed about the entire subject.

Where do I say it upsets me ? Your ignorance frustrates me a little, but upset me ? Never.

I am in favor of open carry being legal and concealed being illegal. I want to know who is carrying a gun. I feel more unsafe with people carrying concealed weapons.

If you carry for safety then let us know. We will feel safe with dudes carrying handguns in Target knowing that we have armed citizens there to protect us.

I'm in favor of people like you not having an opinion on guns in general.

Keep typing tired metaphors that prove nothing but your inability to form a debate that supports your opinion and proves nothing as far as your claims goes.

I want to see who is carrying. That way I know not to mess with them and treat them with respect and be careful around them and or make sure to avoid them.

People who conceal weapons do it so you don't know they have them. Why are they hiding? I'm fine with some dude carrying an AR-15 in the open. That way I know to get the hell away and avoid the person and make sure to not make the person upset.

If I see a dude at Wal-Mart at the gun section with an AR-15 on his back I know not to mess with the dude or be very careful in any interaction with them. I know to give them space at the check-out line. I know to just leave the dude alone.

Keep getting mad on a message board and thinking that concealed carry is for "pussies who submit to the government."

My goodness, why does people exercising their legal right upset you ? Make your own choice and leave others to make their own.

I'm not mad, but that aside, please show me where I said that that concealed carry is for "pussies who submit to the government." You can't because it didn't happen.

OP I prefer to conceal carry inside my waistband. It’s a pain in the arse that you eventually get use to when you find the right holster, but it’s the smart play. I wear a lot of untucked shirts that were meant to be worn untucked but still have a professional look. No reason to advertise you have a firearm on you. I’d rather keep that a surprise should I ever be forced to use it. Out at the camp I prefer to carry on an outside holster. But far as being amongst strangers in a crowd, I don’t want anyone jerking my pistol out of its holster while I’m paying a cashier or picking out which protein I want to grill. Why on earth would you want to make yourself a target? Hell yes it’s much more comfortable to carry outside the waistband, but again, it’s just dumb to carry a firearm that someone can easily pull out your holster the minute you are distracted for a few seconds. I do have an Alabama concealed carry license but you don’t need one in this state. The license is something I feel more comfortable having should I travel in another state. Gun laws are different in every state.

Or they spotted me and decided to play nice since they know I have a firearm. Perhaps they don't see me at all and pistol is ready if I need it. I can come up with as many imaginary scenarios as you can but each situation is different and you're just what ifing to make your case.

Yea you can come up with a lot of scenarios but the element of surprise is something bad guys count on. Smart and well trained people use it to their advantage also.

So anyone who isn't in the 1% of trained shooters shouldn't carry at all ?

Stop being ignorant and creating an argument that I didn't make so you can play gotcha...

Your time would be better spent on the range.

Smart and well trained people are often required to open carry and use that to their advantage as well.

Sounds like that is what you're saying, only 1% of the population including LEO and Military have sufficient training and are truly prepared to carry a weapon and trained to handle it sufficiently.

Nope

One thing I notice as an open carrier is that you start being hyper aware of the surroundings. Also, I’m rarely in a situation as you describe.

And I made it clear that don’t carry it blatantly open. It’s open by definition but covered enough to not be obvious.

Doesn't hurt my feelings either way, I found a comfy holster in the waistband for my hellcat and that's all I need.
