Listen, I'm not the least bit outraged over it, I think its kind of funny, but the song IS a little rapey, read the lyrics. its like it was written by that drunk uncle that doesn't know when to quit.

Nah. I get what he is saying. The fake outrage thing is huge these days.

Like 2 people get outraged over something dumb, and for some idiotic reason, it becomes a story and people blow it way out of proportion.

Does anyone actually know anybody that ever gets outraged over these things? Like the Starbucks cups a few years ago where supposedly Christians were all outraged, except you could never actually find a real person that was outraged.

But the internet sure made it seem like all Christians were outraged over Starbucks cups.

Same thing is happening here.

My favorite part of the Starbucks one is that they have a Christmas blend coffee.

Why is this still a thing? The radio station caved and is playing the song.

I don't understand the "outrage"!
Its obvious she is playing the hard to get game...

They need to feel like they weren't too easy, so they make us work for it. That's what's happening... LoL

No, I am not a rapist. Yes, I am qualified to comment on the topic of games women play!

Anyone with a sense of decency should defend it. It’s a lovely classic about courtship and playfulness.

Anyone “offended” (because you know they aren’t really offended) should have their fingers broken

Meh song is mediocre anyway. Now you want to talk about rapey songs there's some country song about how this dude takes a black out drunk girl to his place

Rophynol wasn’t even invented until the 60s the song was written in the 40s. Suggesting that it means he roofied her drink would require the writer having a time machine
