Cutting and patching though. Careful what you wish for with that “repaving” mess. DOTD will wind up putting down asphalt like they have elsewhere.

Think it should of been designed to run on top of vets, like the westbank expressway.

They should have ran I10 down Basin/st claude and 610 down Broad.

There was hardly any way NOLA could have screwed up the interstates given the geography, and yet they still almost did with the planned riverside expressway that would have been disastrous for the French Quarter.
And they ran the I-10 under the railroad crossing at City Park Ave so it’s guaranteed to get 10 feet of water with any heavy rain.
