OneBR and TogetherBR.

One person was injured in a shooting Monday afternoon in the parking lot of the of the East Baton Rouge Parish Schools Transportation Office on Choctaw Drive at North Ardenwood Drive, officials said Monday.

East Baton Rouge Emergency Medical crews responded to a shooting about noon Monday at 6015 Choctaw Drive, the address of the school system's transportation office, said EMS spokesman Mike Chustz. He said one person was transported to a local hospital.

Baton Rouge Police are also on scene investigating, said Sgt. Don Coppola Jr., a department spokesman. He said the shooting did not occur inside the building, but in the parking lot.

Coppola said they have detained a man in the shooting.

One BR and Together BR are two separate things? They can’t even form one cohesive unit?

I get the sentiment, but do people seriously think that an imaginary line surrounding St. George will have an effect on a-hole criminals who want to make the city burn?

If anything, you could argue that it could potentially make crime worse, especially in the short term.

I believe that OneBR is some kind of lobbying / PAC created by TogetherBR to make them seen bigger than they actually are. Or vice versa.

You could argue too that SG might be able to use some of that tax money that goes down a black hole to build up police protection.

Apparently there is already an imaginary line. The one that separates NBR from everywhere else.

If St. George were to come into existence, would the municipality have its own City Court and/or Criminal Court not presided over by existing BR judges?

It worked in Jefferson Parish.

Didn't you know, criminals are incapable of crossing city boundaries.

Woo, if we could get some judges in a st. George city court to start imposing max sentences on all crime committed in st George, we could be cleaning up north Baton Rouge by proxy if they want to come to st George to commit crime.

Edit: I guess this would only be for misdemeanors since felonies would still go to the 19th.
