Well he did say ABOUT 5:30 this morning

The fire is out.

I drove past it about 8:15 and there was still a bunch of black smoke. Pretty sure it wasn't completely out.

Why is every Baptist church the first one? Makes no sense

There are Second and Third Baptist churches around, just not many. I even found a Fourth Baptist church.

I went and looked at it around 8:30 from the Pierre bossier mall and there are still flames in the back of the church. Pretty massive flames too

The fire was not out at 8:30-9, as some people tried to report. As of right now it is still smoldering. They will probably be there working overhaul for the next few hours as there is still a chance of rekindle at this point.

Live news just reported another hot spot just flared up. This thing is most definitely not out and will be continued to be fought throughout the day today and possibly into tomorrow.

Evidently they didn't pray hard enough before.

I'm surprised a public building that large doesn't have sprinklers.

I’m 99.9% sure that it does.

Well, did.

Eta: the biggest fire station in the parish is next door as well

FWIW...my wife told me the final apocalypse would start in either Bossier or Haughton.

Grew up by the church, would hear the chimes every day at noon. The old steeple was a Bossier landmark

Used to play basketball in the Gym with Mike McConathy back in the day

Aerial view of the church in the aftermath.

That white building off to the side is the new sanctuary where we have church every Sunday. The building with the steeple is the old sanctuary, it’s now pretty much used only for weddings
