Couple of video of the fire in this link.

First Bossier church members will gather at the Bossier City Civic Center Wednesday to pray and learn more about how the church will rebuild after a devastating fire.

A three-alarm blaze gutted much of the church complex's east wing, including First Bossier Kids Academy child care center. Firefighters remain on the scene at the church, although they got the fire under control just after 3 p.m. Monday.

The fire also damaged the church's old sanctuary, but firefighters were able to save First Bossier's new sanctuary.

Despite the loss, Senior Pastor Brad Jurkovich says that he is grateful for what firefighters were able to accomplish.

“Obviously, it’s sad. We’re grateful that no one was hurt. The firefighters have done an exceptional job… We’ve had a ton of people from around the region already calling [and] texting,” said Jurkovich. ...

The old steeple was a Bossier landmark

I was pretty crazy watching smoke billow out of the top windows of the steeple yesterday. It looked like a smoke stack.

Why is every Baptist church the first one? Makes no sense

I once saw a “Third Baptist Church” and was totally amazed. I found out later that the street it was on used to be called Third Street a hundred years ago and they never changed the name of the church after the street was renamed.

It did, but the gym isn’t used as a gym anymore, it’s where the high school has Sunday school.
