Play full contact football

I don’t want billjaminaxxons brain getting scrambled nor do I want him to be able to use that as an excuse on the OT for being 50lbs overweight.

No sleepovers at any other kid’s house and no sleepovers at ours. Too many opportunities for things to occur that can’t be corrected.

Mine are 19 and 21, so it’s all their decision now.

I’ve been on this site for twenty years and I am always surprised at the level of retard that shows itself every so often.

This one 1000% for me. Oldest is 8 and the stuff that so many kids his age already have access to is almost unbelievable. Completely free access to the internet for growing minds just isn't what they need, so many awful things they can get entangled in.

We have done a great job limiting screen time, but he’s now in kindergarten. It’s getting tougher. He has a switch, and his favorite person, his aunt, is a gamer.

If you can't control your kindergartners screen time, you're royally fricked as he gets older. My kids got no screen time when they were 5 years old. They're now 11 and 8 and they get 1 hour a day during the week if they have time.

He went through a phase with Pokémon. He outgrew it, as will your child. Relax.

My son watched Pokemon as a kid and had cards. Played lots of video games. Was not an athlete. Watched lots of anime. He just returned from Gencon gamers conference in Indianapolis.

He graduated from Lsu. Has a masters from Arkansas. Has a good job and is happily married and at 27 years old.

No need to outgrow it. Its part of his life.

We’re raising our kids with no iPads or access to smart phones (we as parents also don’t have iPads). They listen to good music from the past and they watch almost exclusively 90s tv and movies. They play outside/in the backyard most of the time. They are turning out to be awesome 90s kids.

Hearing one kid quote the goofy movie while the other is munching on a carrot going “ehhh what’s up doc” brings me so much joy

Remember the Pokémon Go app 10 years ago and all the idiots who chased invisible whatever they’re called to catch them all? I think people found dead bodies and the phase caused an increase in auto accidents.

I believe it was actually a company using the app to help build out its gps system. I think if an area was low in data then the company put hard to find pokemN there forcing users to that are

I think there’s a big difference between TV time and handheld device time. Handheld device time should be zero for a very long time. TV time, where the entertainment is fixed in one place while kids socialize with whom they are watching is totally fine and I don’t think warrants such a close eye on “screen time” allotment.

No way am I letting Finn the genderfluid purple haired liberal arts major and Shaniqua brainwash my kid for several hours a day. I understand the importance of socialization and conflict resolution and all that, but there are other better and cheaper ways to accomplish this goal.

I also think it makes a difference if you're with them. Our boys are either walking around playing while a movie is on, or they're sitting in our lap/beside us and we're (more or less) watching with them.
