How many kids between 12-18 do you know? I have a lot of cousins. The ones I know all have anxiety, addicted to tech, and weird views on stuff. They are obsessed with pop culture.

I don’t want my kids anything like that. I wasn’t anything like that. Neither were any of my friends growing up (not very long ago). I grew up with the children of the elite around here and their parents absolutely never let them be addicted to smart phones. My parents didn’t care as much, and weren’t elite, but I turned out ok.

Somehow this stuff has become cool

My uncle has 9 kids. All home schooled. They are the best raised and most well rounded kids I have ever met. Oldest is going to college this year.

I find a-lot of that anime crap has elements of witchcraft embedded but thats the super boomer in me.

I met this guy many years ago that worked at the Exxon plant in Baton Rouge. He said he wouldn't allow his kids to watch Harry Potter for the same reasons. It was one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Your statement is equally as dumb in that regard.

He said they’re all well adjusted normal kids and then said they’re all weird and have social anxiety. The dude still lives at home with his parents and has no girlfriend but has already figured out how he’s going to parent his kids that don’t exist

I hate to pick on him because he doesn't seem like the smartest or most confident kid, but damn he makes it easy sometimes

I actually live with my girlfriend. Not sure where you got that from.

I said the other kids, who aren’t homeschooled and grow up with the “normal kids” that all have smart phones at 12, have anxiety.

Do you have issues with reading comprehension or…

No, you just make no sense when giving an opinion and are straight up wrong when discussing facts

I went to one of the best public schools in Texas and was in the gifted and talented program in 3rd grade so I was definitely smart at one point at least…. I have the confidence to have slept with dozens of women which is more than most can say.

Say whatever you want about me, but make sure it is accurate.

my baptist middle school banned students from harry potter for the same reason. My dad was like that's gay, you are actually reading for a change.

How dumb do you have to be to think every person who is homeschooled is weird?

If your parents are cool, you will probably be cool. Cool people didn’t used to homeschool, but in this shitty world they are starting to.

You dudes are so obsessed with status it blinds you from reality. I truly hope you can get over it someday.

Yet you spent a year telling us how you were an accounting assistant making $14/hour then asked if you should be a leasing agent, paralegal, or bank clerk

you seem to equate having a smart phone with being addicted to tech and having weird views

how about there is a middle ground where you as a parent are involved and you monitor and restrict usage but still allow them to be social and participate in extra curricular activities while still doing normal kid things like swimming, hunting, fishing, riding bikes etc

or is that too much to ask of you as a parent so your view is take it all away?

also equating knowing who steph curry is or liking sports or liking watching sports = weird world views on stuff or being obsessed with pop culture certainly doesnt make you come across as any less weird
