I think you are a butthurt person from down the bayou that has been angered in the past by people falsely saying Nola is Cajun, so now you are reverse trolling

Wrong again. I made the point that what NO is known for most (Cajun/creole) can be found in many places throughout the state

Then a bunch of butthurt New Orleanians start coming out with “nah uh bruh, we got an Israeli restaurant and a deli”

Well if you would have said Creole I would not have disagreed.....

NOLA is absolutely best know for its creole inspired dishes/restaurants

no, you said.....

quote:

I can get most, not all, of the same dishes without having to come to Nola.

Which is 1000% false

and you think all nola has to offer is
quote:

blackened and fried food gumbo, jambalaya, etouffe, red beans, etc

Yeah I fricked up when I limited it to Cajun

That being said, from an outsiders perspective, they think it’s all Cajun

If def. is. And lots of restaurants/chefs do amazing things with this kind of food. I just hate when people throw out the shitty jambalaya, etouffe, and fried food as an example of why Nola is such a good restaurant city.

Also, people are dumb if they think you have to go to fancy food snob places to find good food.

You are really not smart. I listed the foods that are different from anywhere else in the country that differentiate New Orleans.

When people talk about the food in NO on tv, and the foods they would like to eat when they visit, do they talk about gumbo and the like, or Israeli food?

Side note and CSB: the narrative in NOLA bashing threads about how no one knows people who have ever been shot or robbed in NOLA is no longer true for me.

Friend and co-worker of mine from Boston was shot in the leg about a month ago while walking on Canal Street at 4:30 in the afternoon.

I recommend you watch Somebody Feed Phil on Netflix when he goes to NOLA. He spends a decent amount of time with Alon and talks at length about Israeli food.
