But the confusion after Berlin fell is exactly why its such a prevalent story. Coupled with the fact that DNA tests ran on what the soviets had been claiming as Hitlers skull even clouds it further.
German radio announced Hitlers death before soviets even reached the bunker. What better way to start the plan? Why would you announce your great fearless leader killed himself? It is well known that Hitler used body doubles regularly. There are even pictures of soviet soldiers standing over a look alike Hitler. Soviets claim they found him, then bam they didn't find him, wait we found his and Eva's burned bodies here but we arent letting anyone see them. then 40 years later they run DNA tests and find out its not Hitler.
There are even declassified documents where Eisenhower said he believed that Hitler was not dead.
And Stalin was fricking crazier than Hitler. Who knows what the reds really found in Berlin.

So where did he go? He would be Public Enemy #1 around the world; practically every major war criminal who disappeared had numerous sightings. Adolf was never seen??? He would have continued to be a god to all the Nazis who escaped. And there is no mention of him. Every major historian has accepted his death as reported & every myth of his escape disproved. Get real,
