It all depends what happens first. The swamp fills up and spills over or the flow starts back the right way down Manchac.

Oak Alley, perhaps... Oak Alley South, i'd be worried.... but tbh, i'm really only familiar with OAS, because we were really close to building in there... really glad, right about now, we didn't...

Oak Alley has some a canal/creek thing that runs through the middle, sorta, of it, right? i still don't think i'd be worried if i was in Oak Alley...

Everyone I see a new posy on this thread I take a drink and pray that it's not "the post" that the road/locks have failed. And every post that I don't see that is a huge exhale of pressure.

Oak alley south? Are you referring to the entrance that's farther down on 74 closer to 30?

If the locks fail I won't be posting anymore for a while, so take that FWIW.

So the levee didn't fail? We listened to them talk about a failure for a while and were we sending chopper to assess

Choppers dropped large sand bags to fill where it was potentially failing

I think the levee they are discussing is Alligator Bayou Road

At my parents house in prairieville. Dads house is on extremely high ground and in no danger.

Just waiting on a call from the ridge.

yes... that's the actual name of that filling... it's the one with the big lake to the left of the entrance that has a fountain and shite and a lighthouse or whatever at the entrance...

tbh, i think they should really be tuned into what's going on right now at Manchac Rd. and Alligator Bayou Rd.... if Spanish Lake overflows it's going right into the entrance of OAS.... that's a given

I personally don't think the road will hold. The people around me have said it washed out before.

You know during all this crap I can't stop thinking about Josey. I am thankful his wife left and went back to Monroe. They would have been in the middle of this mess
