Water is still rising thought it would have gone down by now.

Same thing I thought. Isn't this bizarre or did today's rain really impact it that much?

I measured an additional 1-1/4" this morning. Likely due to the rain, but time to get this shite out of here.

So I did some back of the napkin calculations and it would take 4 pumps capable of 90,000 GPM per pump in order to pump the swamp down by an inch a day.

Anyone know the capacity of these pumps? Cause 90,000 gpm is a massive pump.

Thought I saw something somewhere that said 46" pumps. Maybe 5 of them. But don't quote me on that. I've seen so many rumors/etc the past week that I can't decipher what's true or false. Completely burned out at this point. Just finished moving more sandbags to help neighbors shore up weak spots in case it rains more again today.

That is a big pump, doubt if anyone in the state has ones that big. If someone can confirm their size I think I have a book on gpm on large pumps at the office.

Really? I thought Manchac would have to be lower than 13' to begin process.
