Every suburbanite, yuppie I see wears these shoes. Male or female. Doesn't matter. Are these shoes that comfortable and durable, or, are they just another brand to go along with the Patagonia jacket, LuLu lemon pants, Starbucks in hand, while the golden doodle waits impatiently in the oversized SUV sitting in the Target or Whole Foods parking lot?

ETA: In all seriousness, I'm on my feet all day. I average about 5-8 miles a day jogging, but am loyal to Asics running shoes. Are these shoes that great, though?

On Clouds are for the people who are “going to get into running”, run a 5k for the pic, then get fat again

I don't like them for running but for standing/walking around all day I haven't found any better shoes.

I, personally, prefer the all-purpose running/work/winter/hiking/funeral/wedding/church shoe known as the Redwing boot. With steel toes, of course, just in case shite pops off.

That's where my edit was directed. My running shoes have always been Asics. Frankly, they are either wet (sweat) or stink too bad to wear to work. I'm always on my feet and have a standing desk, so looking for something comfortable that are not Crocs.

My mom is leaving for New York tomorrow. Talked to her on Saturday while she was out running errands to get necessities for her trip. She was at Starbucks then headed to The Backpacker to get some On Clouds then to Lululemon. She’s so extra!

The running purists say they break down quickly. They definitely have taken over the soccer mom/dad market. I think you're just fine with New Balance, Asics, Hoka, Saucony, Nike Pegasus, or Brooks.

OCs are comfortable, super light and great for casual stuff

They're one of the worst shoes for durability I've ever seen. I've probably had 4 pairs in 18 months and I never run in them. I keep buying them because they're perfect for running errands, walking the dog, etc. But then every couple months I make the mistake of doing some sort of exercise in them, or doing some quick work around the house, and they can quickly get trashed beyond saving.

They're comfy enough. Styling is different than other shoes... a plus in my book. They catch rocks in the center channel of the sole. Could be an issue for scratching up your floors.

My wife bought me a pair for Christmas. They are comfortable, light, and I love that they are waterproof. That being said, mine have worn out pretty quickly

At a minimum of $130/pair, sounds like they don’t need to change a thing. Why would you keep buying them?
