For a very long time 34/36mm was normal for men

A lot of the original dive watches in the fifties and early sixties were around 35mm

This thread just reminded me of one of my biggest watch pet peeves: movements, particularly those visible through the caseback, that are markedly smaller than the case diameter. I’ve always found that to be absurd.

I’m kind of liking the new green Seamaster 300.

I found the Omega releases today to be kind of Rolex inspired across the board. The new AT in sunburst colors feels like a riff on the OP. Except I vastly prefer the colors of the OP.

I was going to put a picture of the new 38mm ATs and forgot. I see the point about mirroring the OP but I am just seeing a lot of colorway expansion that I don't attribute to Rolex. I just see it as manufacturers moving into niches but I suppose they are also providing alternatives to unobtanium Rolex models and is indeed likely to be a strategy. One thing I think Omega missed was not including a turquoise/Tiffany blue dial but that would have drawn more ire. I am not sure I like any of the 38mm ATs they all seem to be 1 to 3 shades away from hitting the sweet spot of the particular color.

Marathon makes quartz and automatics…no reason the former wouldn’t.

Decent. I have to adjust it a couple minutes every 2 or 3 weeks. Its like 8 years old and has never been serviced.

Hands on with the Ultra deep.

After seeing it on video the issue to me would be thickness, not diameter. Nice looking watch but man is it thick.

Here is a great picture of what I was talking about:

And I say all this being a lover of some Omega (Speedmaster is one of the GOAT watches).
