Correct, and they’re complaining about a staff shortage now. So you think the answer is to have less staff as long as they’re vaccinated?
Like I said, seems intelligent.

Something smells rotten to core here. The BR Diocese let the plan out bag three weeks ago with that back to school letter.

So, you're saying that a hospital is going to put a known positive person
He definitely did not say they were going to knowingly put Covid positive people with patients.

Then, your insistence that this was a judgment call by OLOL that would result in less loss of time is moot.

This was a big deal at Houston Methodist. 150+ employees got terminated for not getting vaccinated.

Looks like not really mandated. If you don't get it you just have to wear a mask and do education?
So they’re allowing vaccinated staff to be around patients without masks?

No, but that is essentially what he implied.

Yes.
Would you employ a mechanic that continually forgets to install oil drain plugs?
If you get rid of him you won't be able to do oil changes.
I would probably get rid of the idiot employee.

To clarify you mean they isolated for the proper amount of time after the start of symptoms or positive test results.
That’s what we did with our staff. Each one had to be cleared by employee health first before they could return. We didn’t retest until negative because it’s been known for a long time now you can still test positive for a couple months after infection.

Not at all. Unvaccinated people are more likely to get infected than vaccinated. So if your entire staff is vaccinated you have less risk.
Simple risk management.

Some of you people are really being pussies about this vaccine. Why are y'all so scared to take it? We work and live near chemical plants, live right by power lines, etc... god knows what kind of cancer agents we ingest every single day and you're scared of putting something doctors and scientists came up with in your body. Quit blaming the government and just say you're scared

Nah, not showing symptoms, come on in.
Yes. It is a stupid policy.

You just posted that COVID positive staff are still working. So which is it? Are the shortages because of covid and they need the vaccine, or are they no shortages?
You seem to be confused as to which point you’re trying to make.

Can you link the article?
The reason I ask is because CNN did a piece with a quote fragment from her that took much of what she said out of context. I want to make sure what you quoted wasn't from that fear porn that they wrote.
CNN tailored an article they wrote a few days ago to lead readers into believe that Covid was the cause for OLOL's need to repurpose various wings and rooms. This was a pretty obvious effort to spread Covid fear in a red state.
They downplayed the statements about much of the hospital's capacity being consumed by an ongoing RSV outbreak that has been a seasonal problem for years. RSV + Covid together are causing some resource issues. It's not entirely Covid.

It's a business. They should be able to run it however they want without being told what to do. Your idea of communism is skewed cause you dont agree with their policy.

There are currently more COVID hospitalizations in Louisiana than there have ever been since the pandemic started last year
