Whatever the case, it appears she was kidnapped and taken to a remote location i.e other side of lake Sardis, then executed. This doesn't fit the crime of passion or ex imho.

Not sudden or impulsive.

So... premeditated?

That leans toward someone she knew.

Could be, but doubt it given what's known.

I understand your thought but premeditation can involve the planning to kill without a specific victim. You can plan a murder where the victim is somewhat random which can still show premeditation.

Meh.

Leans as much to a serial killer or someone enacting out their sick fantasy.

Why drive all the way around the lake down a secluded road to an even more secluded dirt road and then leave the body right by the road in the part of the lake students don't frequent? Sounds like a kidnap rape execution.

If she went home about midnight, then left, it was for a reason. Somebody called her, or contacted her, giving that reason. There would be an electronic trail of that.

If she was shot 8 times, it was by somebody that was angry at her. Most times, this would be someone she knew that she had pissed off. It could also be a stranger. If she was abducted and fought back, the abductor may have been angry and over-killed her.

I am betting whoever killed her had their phone on them and left a ping trail to the dump site. Hopefully, her not being subject to the elements for all that long allowed any DNA evidence to be preserved.

Somebody linked to a guy Tweeting that an arrest had been made. Do we know who he is, or why his Tweet merits credence?

Serious question: why assume a fake Uber?

Shot 8 times suggests anger. It suggests someone she knew.

A college girl was just murdered randomly by a fake Uber driver at the University of South Carolina just a few months ago. The girl was stabbed to death in the back of the car and dumped miles outside of Columbia in the middle of nowhere. The murderer's backseat had her blood all in it.

This shite is happening.

Was that really a “fake Uber?”
Or did she just get in the wrong car because she was drunk?

She hailed in Uber. She got into a car, believing it was an Uber. She was murdered.

BINGO! That’s exactly what I was thinking. This was someone she knew and had some sort of falling out with.

I realize that but people are lazy and some people get embarrassed walking around the car checking license plates. Some people aren't confrontational and don't want to ask someone their name. Alot of people are very trusting. Especially kids.

So make it easy. The entire background of the app is red until the other phone is 10 feet away, then it's green. Simple. It doesn't require any extra effort.

Or sounds like a booty call situation gone wrong. She went home from the bar and contacted someone. He picks her up, they mess around and he wants to bang her but she won’t go past an hj. He gets furious, they fight, he shoots her.

Then drives her out and dumps the body.

This is s great idea but gps is not always that great. Also, uber are called for others routinely.
