Different incident - the girl I’m talking about wasn’t killed.
The whole ordeal was a master class in good ole boy arse-covering. The DA tried to talk the girl out of charges, court appearances were shuttled to backwoods court houses, charges manipulated. The boy’s Dad (he and I ran in the same circle after college) was from a long line of influential lawyers in Jackson and the mom from the same but from Oxford area.
Not trying to de-rail the thread, my point is that if those kids in the video belong to “somebody” it’s possible very little will be done. This still hasn’t made the news in Jackson, we’ll see.
