My mother was from Koblenz, Germany. Her father was 56 when she was born!!! He was passed before I was born.

Call me selfish but we only expected to have our son at the time. He was stolen from us and we want to be parents again. I will be in my 40’s but my wife just turned 30. We are financially stable and have no good reason not to have another child together.

First guy I thought of too.

He was the president in 1841....and his grandson is still alive (or was as of last year). Think he wins the prize

And Tyler too

Why?

I had my fourth and last when my wife and I were 29. We’re 57 now, and our youngest is 27. Those years, when I had my little children, were the best of times. We couldn’t afford much, but we laughed and played. We’re enjoying three grandchildren now, with more on the way. That’s why!

To the OP’s point, both of my brothers have 7 year old daughters, and they are 56 and 58.

Nothing wrong with that. If you can still shoot bullets who cares.

Last March we took our son into a 24 hour emergency care to be checked for the flu. He suffered a massive heart attack and passed in front of my wife and me. He was only a couple of months short of his 3 year birthday. The autopsy revealed that he had nothing more than an upset stomach and the clinic tried to treat him when he didn't need it.

It amazes me seeing older dads at my kids school functions. There are consistently a few dads well
Into their 50s at soccer games and what not. Oldest Dad i know is a coworker who was 54 when his youngest kid was born. It was a 2nd wife and the wife was 40. The coworker had 3 boys previously. The two eldest were gay and he was obsessed with having as many non-gay kids as possible. They wanted more kids but had to stop when the wife almost died during birth of the youngest. One of the strangest dudes I ever worked with......

Hey buddy. How are you and your wife doing? I think about y’all all the time. That thread still haunts me as my son is about to turn 2.

I don’t want to overstep but did you sue the shite out of that clinic?

I don’t post often and mostly a lurker for last 10 years. But I kept up with your boy’s passing and I wish you and your wife all the luck in the world in having another baby. Will not bring your little guy back but will bring you hopefully happiness again. Good luck and best wishes

My great great grandfather was a murderer who escaped to west Texas, where he had seven (more) children beginning at the age of 63.

My dad had my brother at 66 and me at 70.

Made it all the way to my college graduation and passed away two months shy of 94. He was an unbelievable father.
