The group born from the mid-70’s to the late 80’s is a mix of Gen-X and Millennials.

Look at some of the sports greats to come from that group:

Michael Phelps - M - Greatest swimmer ever
Usain Bolt - M - Fastest man ever
Tiger Woods - X - Greatest golfer
LeBron James - M - Top 3 greatest hooper
Drew Brees - X/M - A living saint
Tom Brady - X - Greatest QB ever
Justin Verlander - M - One of the all-time great pitchers
Rodger Federer - M - Greatest tennis player ever
Rafa Nadal - M - Greatest clay court player ever
Serena Williams - M - Greatest female tennis player ever
Floyd Mayweather Jr - X - all-time great boxer

We similarly dominate other areas of life.

Our forces combined, we are the greatest generation. All you old guys and young bucks can frick off.

If you get personal value out of being born about the same time as other people and what they accomplish, then you have a fricked up view on life. Can we put this generational slap fight to bed?

The majority have played the original techno bowl and contra for Nintendo. So they truly are a solid group.

I will be 80 years old and still be able to recite the unlimited lives code

I'm a proponent of "older millenials" being lumped in with Gen X.

Someone born in '86 has way more in common and much more similar childhood with someone born in '80 than with someone born in the 90s

By the same token someone born at the tail end of the boomer generation has almost nothing in common with the older boomers. These distinctions are completely arbitrary.

This thread must be made by someone born after 1983 who doesn't want to be lumped in with millenials. It's amazing how much of an insult " millenial" has become. Maybe those that got in under the wire of GenX don't want to be lumped in with the subsequent loser generation.

And a 59 year old doctor has a lot more in common with a 29 year old doctor than a 59 year old pizza guy.

These generational divides are arbitrary and not useful for anything other than pointless internet arguing.

Yeah. I just mean if they're sitting around talking about their childhood, what they watched and did, what things were like.

All things being equal, socioeconomically, as a millenial '86er every job I've ever had I've become friends with people my age and the Gen Xers a little older. And generally don't like the whinier, phone addicted millenials a little younger.

The internet should be a dividing line. If you can remember life before the world wide web, you're not a millenial

Lmao whether they were raised on the internet or not is a way better distinguisher than how close they happen to be to the arbitrary year 2000

When did you get internet? I remember the business having it in about '95 and finally in the house around '97 or '98.
