Totally forgot about it until you posted that picture. I have that exact Mattel football game and the later version with passing option in box with some corgi trucks. Might break those out this weekend.

Yep. The old school metal Tonka toys were the shite. My parents still have all then in their storage shed.

I used to spend hours daily moving dirt and leaves with those.

Dino Riders toys were fantastic. Cartoon was awesome too. For some reason other children of the 80s (I was born in 84) don’t remember these at all

When I was a kid it was Lincoln Logs, Erector Sets, Chemistry Sets, Plastic Cowboys, Indians and Soldiers, marbles, wooden tops we'd have top fights with and a yearly pair of steel sidewalk skates.
