That castle pictured behind the field still lives in my head as one of the most exciting christmas gifts I ever got. That and the pirate ship made by the same people around the same time.

Snuck one if these into first grade. Turned it on and placed on head of kid sitting in front of me. Teacher had to cut it out of his hair.

I have this toy in its original box and got it autographed by Evel himself. He and the owner of the country club where I worked were good friends and he came to visit at least twice a year. Got to play golf with him and rode in the cart (which was NOT for the faint of heart). That man was nuts.

I had the Giants-Broncos electric football game back in 1987 and once the excitement wore off after opening it and adding numbers to my players, I realized the game just sucked arse. That buzzing sound was LOUD as hell and my men seemed to just spin in a circle like ballerinas

Waiting for this one. Also, trampolines without nets around them. Get double bounced and just fly off.

I spent HOURS with one of those vibrating football fields as a kid and to this day I could not begin to explain how it was supposed to work. You'd line up the players in some convoluted formation and hit the switch and 22 plastic figures would start immediately going in circles. Supposedly you could "adjust" the direction by bending the little plastic fingers on the bottom of the player....it would sometimes make one of them spin in the opposite direction. I had several of the things as a child and some of them had a QB figure that you could put the foam ball on his hand, hit the switch and were supposed to be able to pull the arm back slightly and he would throw a pass. How one of the others were supposed to catch it is still a mystery but for all I know all of those spinning frickers were better than Lynn Swann at catching a football.....I never saw one do so because all that ever happened was the quarterback would fumble the ball as soon as the field started vibrating. My experience may stem from the fact that I was and am a Falcons fan.....at least one of the games I had came with paint to paint the uniforms with and my teams were the Falcons and Miami. Falcon players spinning about with no effect was something that would not surprise a Falcons fan then or now but Miami was very good at the time, it was unlikely an actual Dolphin player would spin like that, but they did on my electric football field.

OMG, I had one of these. Can’t believe I wasted my time on that. Can still hear the sounds.

The electric football game reminded me of a football game I got around 1975 or so. It was a card game with a grandstand that had a cylinder in it that you spun. The best I remember you had offensive and defensive cards and would draw a set number and had to call one of the plays on the card you had drawn. There was a way to draw more cards depending on down and distance, I think, but for the most part you had to use one of the formations / plays on the card. Then the offensive player would spin the cylinder inside the grandstand and the corresponding color of the play / compared to the defensive players choice, was how many yards you gained, or lost, or whatever....even had penalties. You would move the ball to the appropriate place on the field, draw cards again, make your selection, and spin the cylinder. If you did not pick up a first down you could punt, try a FG, go for it.......whatever you wanted to do. It was pretty fun. Anybody remember anything like that? I do not think it sold many....it was pretty expensive if I remember correctly.

Those electronic lab kits are still around....I have bought a bunch of them recently. Arduino and UNO are the main ones but there are a bunch of them....they are pretty cool. I am a electronic hobbyist anyhow but I have taught my son and daughter both all sorts of neat shite with those kits.
Lego robotics and other robotics kits are also pretty damned impressive.....
