Can't understand the nostalgia for them

I won't post their nickname as it might be deemed sacreligious

Google maps still shows it

303 n. 16th avenue.

We were in laurel a few weeks back and I joked about going there to get a Stromboli steak sandwich. Then we lost track of time and didn’t have time to go by They were a good place to eat. There was one in Clinton when I was in jr high and high school a hundred years ago

OK no more playing around: do you remember the roses on Clinton blvd near the cemetery? It only lasted a couple of years

For a few months that shopping center actually had, I kid you not, a movie theatre. That part of town went to hell immediately afterward

Across the. Street from Reformed Theological Seminary. I remember it well. I think I bought a Japanese maple there about 6 inches tall. I thought it was so exotic. I actually went to Clinton blvd elementary later named Raines elementary until the sixth grade when we moved to Clinton. We lived on Faircourt along side of the old Jackson country club. The shady Oakes golf club. Faincourt is now an official war zone.

I'm trying to recall if I ever went to that Roses... There was a Sunflower there I know I went to (any of THOSE left?)

It wasn't/isn't a Western Auto. They simply kept the old sign outside.

Yes it was. I went inside. It may have been closer to 15 years ago. I remember having to drive out of town to Dixie Inn to buy beer. Only place you get get a beer with dinner was JP’s Ranch House. I remember this well.

There’s what used to be a National Video store not far from me.
They broke street dates with regularity. I remember buying Superman the movie on DVD about a week before the official release date.
