I’m technically a millennial and I would love to not be one

Old Millenials trying to distance themselves from younger Millenials?

Did a piece of you die when you turned 40?

I'm a millennial by definition, but being born in 1989, I feel like one of the older ones. I think it also has a lot to do with the environment you grew up in.
I mean, I remember home phones, cordless and non-cordless. My grandmother had a rotary dial. My mother had a car phone.
My first ever video game system was the NES followed by the SNES then the Playstation.
My family didn't purchase a computer until 2002, and I had dial up at home until around 2010.
I got my first cell phone when I was 12, but I think I went through two or three before we finally got color LCD screens, and I was a junior in college before I got a smart phone.
The fact that everything runs through social media and I can't go five minutes without seeing or hearing the word hashtag drives me insane.

I felt a little defeated for about 6 months or so then I caught a second wind. The past 2 years have been the best I’ve had since my 20’s. I do feel like I run out of gas a lot sooner and takes me longer to recover but all in all it’s not that bad. Age is just a number. Kids getting older makes me sad and everyday I feel like I’m running out of time with them. I wish I could slow life down. It moves too fast.

Select doctor
Purchase 18 oxen
Haul arse to oregon in hopes your wife and kids drown when you cross the rivers.
Get new wife when finished the journey
Always works

Gotcha. I'm not that sad about it tbh(we shall see how I actually feel next month
)
The biggest thing that will be tough on my bday is the kid thing. I always pictured myself as a mom at 40.

My wife is already 40. I know, I'm doing it wrong. I did get a few months to be able to tease her that I was still in my 30s.

Once it comes and goes it’s sort of a relief that it’s out of the way. It’s a bucket list thing, “turned 40” check.
Didn’t mean to bring up the kids, I apologize. Keep the faith, I believe you will be blessed sooner before later.

My husband is 2 years younger than me. So the next 2 years I'm sure I'll will tire of him pointing out he is still in his 30s. He did the same thing when I turned 30.
Our bdays are 3 weeks apart...so for 3 weeks it looks like he is 3 years younger than me.

You should read the rest of the wiki and see how few groups use a date after 1997.
You mean the fringe groups that take over about a third of the overall cited amount and include Time magazine and the grand daddy of them all, the US Census Bureau? That is your irrelevant minority? Read over my statement again and tell me how it is factually false. It’s not like I used a lone outlier to spread out that statement, and even one cited researcher echoed my statement how broad the felt was....and yet he still had one of the wider margins.
Regardless of your birth year, you are definitely a millenial. You can feel militantly right based just on your feelings.
You felt the need to “correct me” for literally saying it was broadly defined, with some people define it as kids born in the eighties, others at the millennium. Didn’t offer any sort of statement as which is more accurate. This is factually indisputable...and you are trying to debate it

We had huge group rooms in high school. Friday you get home from school log on and find out who was throwing the party that night
Lots of fights started on there that would culminate at said party
